Seven Churches of Revelation Tour

1. Day: Day.1

We begin our unforgettable journey to the sacred lands of the Seven Churches of Revelation.
For your convenience, we recommend arriving on an early flight to Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport (ADB) — the modern gateway to ancient Smyrna, one of the original seven churches.

Upon arrival, our friendly team will greet you and provide a comfortable transfer to your hotel in Kuşadası, a picturesque town on the Aegean coast.

In the evening, gather with your fellow travelers for an introductory lecture on the Book of Revelation, exploring the powerful visions of Saint John.
We’ll conclude the day with a welcome dinner and some free time to relax and unwind before the adventure ahead

2. Day: day.2

Ephesus – The Church of Ephesus & Ancient Smyrna

After breakfast, we set out to explore Ephesus, the first of the Seven Churches of Revelation. Once a bustling port city, Ephesus was renowned for its impressive marble streets, grand monuments, and the majestic Temple of Artemis — one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.

As we walk through the ancient ruins, we’ll reflect on the city’s rich spiritual heritage, including the time Saint Paul spent here — nearly two and a half years preaching and establishing the early Christian community. We’ll also delve into the worship of Artemis and its influence on the local culture, providing a deeper understanding of the challenges early Christians faced.

Our next stop is the nearby Basilica of Saint John, believed to mark the burial site of the Apostle. Here, we will study Revelation 1:1 and discuss Saint John’s exile to the Island of Patmos, where he received the vision of the Apocalypse.

Following a delicious local lunch, we continue our journey to Smyrna (modern-day Izmir), home of the Church of Fidelity and Nonviolent Resistance. As we stand among the ruins of the Agora of Smyrna, a 2,000-year-old marketplace, we will read the letter to the Church of Smyrna from the Book of Revelation and reflect on its enduring message of faith through persecution.

We conclude the day with an overnight stay in Izmir.

3. Day: day.3

Pergamon – Thyateira – Arrival Near Sardis

After breakfast, we journey to the ancient city of Pergamon, one of the most powerful cultural and political centers of Asia Minor.

Our first stop is the Acropolis of Pergamon, dramatically perched on a steep hill overlooking the modern town. Here, we’ll stand before the foundation of the Great Altar of Zeus, often referred to as the "Throne of Satan" in the Book of Revelation. As we explore this sacred site, we’ll learn about Antipas, the early Christian martyr, and discuss the powerful message sent to the Church of Pergamon — a community caught between faith and compromise.

Next, we visit the Red Basilica, originally a temple dedicated to the Egyptian gods, particularly Serapis, and later converted into a Byzantine church.

Following a traditional lunch in Pergamon, we drive to Akhisar, the site of ancient Thyateira — home to the Church of Tolerance and Compromise. Though little remains of the ancient city today, its spiritual legacy endures. Thyateira was once an important commercial center and is believed to be the hometown of Lydia, the seller of purple goods and one of Saint Paul’s first converts in Europe (Acts 16:14). Here, we reflect on early Christian struggles amid economic and cultural pressures, and the warning message in the Book of Revelation.

Our day ends with a scenic drive to the Lydia Thermal Hotel, located near the ancient city of Sardis, where we’ll rest and prepare for the next day’s exploration.

Day 4: Sardis – Philadelphia – Laodicea – Overnight in Pamukkale

4. Day: day.4

with an early morning visit to the ancient city of Sardis, once the wealthy capital of King Croesus and a major center of commerce and culture. Here, we’ll explore the ruins of the largest ancient synagogue ever discovered, symbolizing a once-thriving Jewish community. As we walk through this remarkable site, we’ll reflect on the letter to the Church of Sardis in the Book of Revelation and discuss the powerful metaphors in God’s message — especially the warning to "wake up" and strengthen what remains.

Next, we travel to Philadelphia, known as the “City of Brotherly Love.” Founded to spread Hellenistic culture, Philadelphia later became home to a courageous Christian community praised for its faithfulness and endurance. Among the remnants of the ancient church, including the ruined pillars of the Church of Saint John, we’ll contemplate the promises made to those who remain steadfast in their faith.

In the afternoon, we arrive at Laodicea, the Church of Lukewarm Faith and Compromise, once a wealthy Roman city known for its luxury, textile industry, and healing waters. This site brings to life the sobering message from the Book of Revelation — where the community is rebuked for being "neither hot nor cold." We'll explore how earthly prosperity can lead to spiritual complacency and consider the relevance of this message today.

Our day concludes with a short drive to Pamukkale, where we check in for an overnight stay near the stunning white travertine terraces and thermal waters — a perfect place to relax and reflect.

5. Day: day.5

Hierapolis – Colossae – Farewell & Departure

On our final day, we begin with a short drive to the ancient city of Hierapolis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its healing hot springs and spiritual significance.

Here, we will walk in the footsteps of Saint Philip, one of the Twelve Apostles, who, according to early Christian writings, was martyred in Hierapolis. This sacred site is also home to Saint Papias, the Bishop of Hierapolis, an early Church Father, companion of Saint Polycarp, and a disciple of Saint John — the first to write about the Book of Revelation in post-apostolic tradition.

As we explore the ruins, we'll also enjoy the scenic beauty of the thermal pools, reflecting on the deep spiritual heritage that flows through this land.

Next, we travel to Colossae, not for its visible ruins — as little remains today — but for its spiritual significance. Here, we pause to remember Saint Paul’s letters to the Colossians and to Philemon, and to honor Saint Epaphras, the founder of the Christian community in this region and a faithful servant of the Gospel.

Following a meaningful moment of reflection and a final farewell lunch, our tour services come to an end.

You may be transferred to the airport for your return flight, or continue with an optional tour extension to further explore the rich biblical and cultural landscape of Turkey.
