It is directly referenced in the Book of Revelation (2:1-7) and was visited multiple times by the Apostle Paul during his missionary journeys (Acts 18:19-21; 19:1-20:31). You’ll stand in the very places where he preached the Gospel to early believers, including the Great Theatre, which once held 25,000 people, and the majestic Celsus Library.
Virgin Mary’s House – A Sanctuary of Peace and Faith
Located in the tranquil Aladag Mountains, just 5 miles from Ephesus, the House of the Virgin Mary is believed to be where Mary, the mother of Jesus, spent her final years. According to Christian tradition, she arrived in Ephesus with St. John the Evangelist after Christ's crucifixion. The sacred site was declared a pilgrimage destination by the Archbishop of Izmir in 1892, and has since been visited by three Popes:
• Pope Paul VI in 1967,
• Pope John Paul II in 1979, and
• Pope Benedict XVI in 2006,
each of whom celebrated Mass and prayed at the holy shrine.
St. John’s Basilica – The Apostle’s Resting Place
Our next stop is St. John’s Basilica, built over the believed burial site of St. John the Evangelist, who spent his final years in the Ephesus region. This impressive 6th-century basilica stands on Ayasuluk Hill and offers breathtaking views of the surrounding area.

If the tours cancelled less than 48 hours of arrival % 100 of total tour cost will apply as “No Show”.
